Robert has worked in the property industry for the last 30 years. For 15 years he was a shareholder and Executive Director at Doherty Baines where he has headed up the Alternative Capital Markets team. He has extensive expertise in Build to Rent (BTR), Student Accommodation, Hotels, Serviced Offices, Self-storage, Affordable Housing and Extra Care, advising and raising capital on behalf of developers, operators and investors on a variety of high profile schemes.
In the last six years, with the expansion of the BTR sector, he has focussed in this area advising on dedicated and mixed-use projects. He is currently involved on a number of large scale developments across the UK.

Jeremy has extensive experience in restructuring companies worldwide and since 2000 has worked in the Real Estate sector. As a Chartered Accountant, he worked with KPMG advising on the restructuring of companies in areas including crisis management, finance, strategy, personnel and operations. He then set up two UK property groups specialising in the development of retail, residential and mixed use schemes. Subsequently he joined Grant Thornton UK LLP and became a partner and Head of Real Estate advising on some of the largest and complex UK property restructurings between 2008 and 2018.
Since then he has specialised in raising debt and equity for developers, operators and investors in the Alternatives Sector.

Niall Crowley has worked in the UK property industry for over fifteen years. He began his career with Macquarie Bank in Australia before moving to London, working in the commercial sector in various asset management roles, before moving to GE Capital where he was involved in the successful re-financing of several large UK-wide residential and commercial loan portfolios.
In 2014, Niall was one of the founders of Grafton Residential, a specialist residential consultancy business focusing mainly on the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector, advising clients on large scale, purpose-built schemes, from inception to delivery. He has transacted on over £500 million of developments in this sector and was instrumental in originating and advising on the first BTR scheme in central Milton Keynes on behalf a major UK REIT (the first such scheme in the town).

William Jeens has worked in the real estate finance industry for over 25 years and most recently, prior to founding Cap Real Estate, as Head of Real Estate Debt Advisory at Grant Thornton. William has had a wide ranging career in real estate finance as a senior relationship manager across development, investment and site finance with three international banks, as well as the National Asset Management Agency’s (NAMA) Anglo Irish Bank where he was the deputy head of department managing the workout of a £2bn+ mixed use portfolio.
William has significant experience in advising clients on structuring real estate transactions, corporate finance, equity and debt raising, corporate disposals, restructuring and sale & leasebacks. He brings experience in providing insight into the workings of bank credit committees to enable the optimal funding solution to be achieved.
William is currently assisting clients to source and negotiate development and investment funding for several residential for sale, multi-family and single-family Build to Rent schemes, logistic and warehouse developments, affordable housing investments and hotels.
